Description in clear steps
Making a movie can be seen as a top creative activity but requires some techniques and planning to realise your creative ideas, though not everything must a Hollywood blockbuster activity with millions of budget. In this exercise we show you a basic strategy for step nr. 1 – script writing. Tell yourself the story you always wanted to realise as a movie, and disregard any considerations for budget, technology, etc., just let your creativity run along. You have unlimited budget and a complete team to realise it- in your creative phantasy. Then a) write it as short text, without dialogues, just the story. Then make a script following the exercise guidelines – this can be work! Develop a story or idea you would like to see as a movie
- Write it down as a simple text without dialogues
- Make a script out of it using the template
- Write the list of persons/roles to star in the movie
- Have fun deciding which actor plays which role
- Run through the script and try to imagine the movie, adapt where necessary
At the end, have fun and decide on your dream team- which actors play which role- again you are completely free to decide….
