Description

The facilitator (the artist) gives a talk on creative writings and gives examples on how to illustrate. Participants think about how the mind works when thinking about illustrations in connection with short stories. Various methods can be used in illustrating the stories.

This workshop is provided by the artist who talks about creative writing and illustration. The workshop can be either online, or face to face.

The idea of this course comes from the artist who has gained a long experience in teaching drawing, painting and creative writing.

Description in clear steps

1.The facilitator introduces short story writing to the participants and encourages them to start writing.

  1. The participants write a short text
  2. Each participant reads his text to another participant, two and two work together.
  3. The two participants talk together about how they would illustrate the text of the other.
  4. Participants write a short story based on their own initiative and illustrate it.
  5. All participants read a story from another participant and criticize it constructively.
  6. At the end participants discuss their experience of this workshop.

Furthermore, MA in Fine Art, Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK and equivalent to BA Fine Art, The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts, Reykjavik, Iceland – Department of Painting. Awarded for excellent results from The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts, Reykjavík. Diploma in Creative Writing from University of Iceland.
